I took the recent generous offer of buying a steak pie with the uncooked pastry top and now provide my feedback as requested.

The pasty did not rise quite as much as the ones I usually buy from the Buffalo Farm but this may be more to do with my oven than the pastry.  Both my husband and I agreed that the pie was much tastier being finished off in our oven than reheating a previously cooked one.  Beef was tender and tasty with ample helpings.  The pastry was crisp and very tasty.  I would buy these pies again in future given the opportunity.  Have now bought dozens of steak pies from the Buffalo Farm and have never been disappointed.
