A Message From Steve

Hi folks,

This has been such a difficult time for everyone, and I have to say a massive thank you to our customers who have shown us tremendous support, and most importantly to our staff who despite such a time of uncertainty, have worked to get every order complete and keep our shelves stocked.

Our Colleagues

We have moved to a new shift pattern, which separates our staff into teams, and we have had to adjust our opening times slightly to accommodate.  This is for the welfare of all our colleagues allowing them to have a balance of work and time at home, but also allowing us to remain open and operational if the unthinkable happens and one of our team requires to be isolated.

Thank you to those customers that have been so understanding when we have rescheduled deliveries to allow us to make these changes.

We will, like any business, continue to review this – and we will keep you updated with any necessary information around opening times and delivery schedules.

Our Shops

Boglily Steading, and our Butchery counters at Blacketyside and Craigies Farm shop all remain open.  We have had to implement guidance on social distancing, and we would politely ask that all our customers adhere to this, for everyone’s safety.

If you are well and are able to travel, our shop will remain open for customers to choose from our selection. We are pleased to offer a safe environment, without the stress of the supermarket and don’t forget – you can pick up some other essentials including bread from Barnetts of Anstruther and selection of seasonal vegetables from Raith Fruit - click here for more info

If you have neighbours, family or friends who do not have internet access or are not confident in placing online orders  – please ask them to call us on 01592 646252, where we will take their order and process a card payment over the phone. This also applies to any key workers who just can’t fit in the time to order online – please just give us a call and the team will be happy to help.

Our Offering

It has been quite a challenge to keep up with demand, and we would urge our customers to order only what you need. At the same time, feel free to order ahead - you can select a date in the future using the calendar.

The national issue has been that supply could not keep up with demand, and this has caused us many problems with product availability and pricing.  This has meant that we have had to remove the packs that so many of our customers have previously enjoyed, including our pick and mix.

As a result, we have limited the availability of packs at the moment which you can find by clicking here

We are positive that changes in pricing will start to come down, and availability will continue to return to a normal level, we are starting to see signs of this now. Our promise is that we will always reflect any decreases in prices to our customers, and we look forward to getting back to the great deals that we are proud to offer.

Placing an Order

We are delighted to be able to help, but we have seen a dramatic increase in telephone calls, and if you have phoned us recently we will have noticed that we are taking longer to answer. Please leave a message and we will get back to you.  We would recommend placing an order online wherever possible.

Changing an Order

Due the this demand, unfortunately we are unable to change any exisiting orders, delivery dates or delivery addresses, unless you want to cancel the order.

Delivery Dates

Due to the increase in orders, delivery availability is further ahead than usual, and we hope you understand. Currently we have a 5 day lead time to being able to deliver / arrange collection, so please do bear this in mind when ordering - you may want to add a few extra items.

Can I order for someone else ?

Most of us have relatives or neighbours who we're concerned about.  We are happy to help them too.  You can place an order for delivery anywhere in the Mainland UK, which is a comfort when you can't be there to check on them in person. Our drivers are carrying out contactless drop off's to protect all of our customers.

The Bothy

In line with Government guidance, The Bothy will be temporarily closed for the foreseeable future.

Our team of chefs will continue to support our pie production and bakery team, as well as supplying our shop with a select range of ready meals, soups and sides.

A final thank you again for your support, we are truly grateful.
